Projects
The research of Beck, a member of Babylon, Centre for Studies of the Multicultural Society, is focused on Islam and religious pluralism; Islam and multiculturalism; inter-religious dialogue Islam and Christianity. He is a specialist in the field of Islam in Indonesia, Islam in Morocco, and Islam in the Netherlands.At this moment his research considers the question whether increased diversity of Islam in the Netherlands would be reflected in a shift in the importance attributed to Islam for the individual identity and for the identity of the individual as a member of the Islamic community.
