More about the Swedish presidency.

Raising the Impact of the Social sciences and Economics (RISE) is an international network of research universities in the area of the social sciences and economics. The member institutions share the wish to increase the impact of social sciences and economics on social problems, in particular in Europe. To achieve this RISE intends to

  • increase the relevance of the contributions of social sciences and economics to the solution of Europe's social problems,
  • raise awareness of such contributions in relevant political and academic circles as well as with the general public and
  • enhance conditions to increase and strengthen such contributions in the future.
