Official start joint programme with Bilkent
On 5 May, Tilburg University officially started the joint master's programme with Bilkent University, Ankara. The master's programme is offered in the fields of Applied Economics, Finance, and Operations Research, and is taught completely in English.
The two-year programme starts in the academic year 2006-2007. The first year will be taught in Ankara, the second year in Tilburg. The programme is a so-called dual master's, which means that the students receive a dual degree. After graduating successfully, students get a Master of Science in Tilburg, and a Master of Arts in Bilkent.
Bilkent University is a relatively young university, with a special international character. The scientific staff counts 43 nationalities. Nearly all its programmes are offered in English.
The new joint programme is grounded on the basis of a report of both universities about the demands of the Turkish and European business communities.
