Be prepared

Before you enter the employment market, it is a good idea to take stock of yourself. Only when you have an idea of your own skills, interests and values can you look for a role or an employer which suits you.

In our English-language workshops and courses, you will learn what your skills, interests and values are, and how you can use this knowledge in practice: how do you write a good CV and motivation letter? How should you act at a job interview? In order to give you the freedom to put together your own package of workshops, this semester we are offering various workshops as morning and afternoon sessions.

How to find a job in the Netherlands (workshop for non-EU international students)
If you are a non-EU international student and would like more information about: how to find work, how the university can help you and what immigration rules apply to you. Please come to this workshop. >>

Demonstrate your employability (workshop)
It is essential to be able to demonstrate your strengths in every job-application. In this workshop you will identify and clarify your strengths and weaknesses,and you will get more insight in the competences that make you successful in your career. Furthermore you will learn how to describe your qualities to an employer. >>

Preparing for your job search (training)
This course concentrates on indentifying your personal profile. What are your personal qualities and ambitions? How can you use your skills and attributes to choose a career that suits you? Knowing what kind of position you are targeting will help you form a productive job search strategy and focus your search on positions that are good for you. >>

Application skills (training)
How can you create a CV that will get you through to the interview stage? How should you present yourself in your letter of application and during a job interview? During this course, you will find out what employers in general, and specifically Dutch employers, are looking for in a CV and letter.>>

Networking (workshop)
Networking is not only energising but it is also an essential skill to increase your chances on the job market. In this workshop, you will discover how easy it is to make new contacts and you will improve your communication skills by practising network conversations. >>

Centre for Knowledge Transfer
Have you conducted research and do you want the results to be accessible to the general public? Then you need to go to the Centre for Knowledge Transfer, which makes the knowledge of Tilburg University available to the community. This Centre consists of the Science Shop, the Office for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, the Office for Enterprise and Law, Enterprise and Tilburg Matchpoint.>>

Tilburg Future-Point
Future-Point is a platform where students can find information about national and international internships, projects, trainings and the labour market. Future-Point focuses on the students of Tilburg University who want to develop themselves, either during their studies or after their studies. >>
