Study Abroad Campaign - Spring 2010

Are you in the early phases of considering a semester abroad within Europe or thinking about applying for a last-minute exchange? Are you considering doing a Master's Abroad at an European institution?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then you should not miss the Spring Study Abroad Campaign. The campaign started on Wednesday 10 February and the last workshop will be held on Monday 12 April.

Wednesday 10 February 10:00 - 15:30 Foyer C	European Village Information Market for students interested in studying, working and or travelling abroad within Europe. Experience the international community at Tilburg University. Talk to students from the countries that interest you, or get advice from other students who have studied abroad in that region.

Thursday 3 March 9:00 - 12:30 P 211	Workshop: Intercultural Communication The workshop focuses on becoming aware of intercultural differences, bridging these differences and avoiding misunderstandings. In this workshop we aim to lay a foundation for more effective communication in intercultural settings. This is not only essential for your daily contact with students and professors from various cultures, but also in your future career. We look at intercultural perception processes, as well as actual cultural differences. Both of these factors will play a role in how an intercultural meeting will proceed. Cost EUR 12.50 This course is required for all students who will study abroad during the 2010/2011 academic year. The main focus of the workshop is to provide guidance on choosing a destination, preparing for your stay abroad and all the issues relevant to that process. Thursday 4 March 13:45 - 16:30 P 211	Studie in het Buitenland? This workshop will briefly outline the options for students who are thinking of participating in a foreign exchange programme.
