Consultation hours in the faculty
The information specialists of the department Academic Services have weekly consulting hours in the faculty. In this way they try to bring down the barrier for researchers to appeal to them with library questions.
Feel free to come by during the consultation hours. Library and IT Services has more to offer you than you may think. Over the last years many innovative developments have been started off which may support you in executing and publishing your research.
For whom and where?
For the time being the consultation hours are for researchers of the faculties Economics and Business Administration (FEB) and Law (FRW).
- Consultation hours FEB
Each Thursday afternoon between 14.00 and 16.00 hrs. (K 206). The consultation hours are cared for by Corry Stuyts. - Consultation hours FRW
- One week Tuesday morning between 11.00 and 12.00 hrs.
- The other week Wednesday afternoon between 14.00 and 15.00 hrs.
Staff members FRW receive an e-mail in time every week with the announcement of time and location. The location takes turns over the various floors. The consultation hours are cared for by Paul van Waelsden.
Which questions can be addressed during the consultation hours?
The information/collection specialists are eager to answer your questions on the use of services or products (see below). They can also give advice on the use of these items in your personal research or the research of an entire research group. You are also welcome for help in searching for information or consultation of online journals or information databases.
The service of the department Academic Services includes among others
- Scientific information supply (collection books, journals and databases)
- Various alerting possibilities on newly published literature
- Management of your bibliographical data (with Endnote or the virtual bookshelf)
- Online publishing in the Tilburg University Repository
- Your publication lists (in e.g. Webwijs or Economists Online)
- Innovative services such as setting up custom-made information portals, advice on the set-up of e-journals, storage of research data, (cooperation in a) virtual research environment
