Copy and print facilities for students

Various printers/copiers can be found on campus. You can send a print job from a student desktop, from your own notebook on campus and from your own notebook/computer off campus.

Print from a student desktop

Send print job

  • Always send you print job to a specific printer.
  • Go to file and choose option print.
  • Choose the desired printer and click ok.
Your print job will be send to the printer according to the standard settings. If you wish to change the settings, choose properties (in the print menu). Your print job will not be carried out immediately, but will be saved in a mailbox.

Print on the same printer/copier as you have selected
Via the option mailbox in the printer display, you have access to the jobs you have sent to a specific printer/copier. If you send a print job to Leeds and choose for the option mailbox in the Leeds printer display, you see the jobs you have sent to Leeds.

Print on another printer than you have selected
You can print a job on any printer/copier you wish via the option fetch jobs. In the printer display choose the option fetch jobs. Insert your administration number and select the job you want to print. Even if you have chosen for the printer Leeds, you can also print the job on another printer, such as Madrid. Once a print job has been carried out, it will be removed from your mailbox automatically. You can pay with a chipknip. You can charge the chipknip at various locations on campus.

Print from your own notebook on campus

If you want to send a print job from your own notebook on campus, you should pay attention to the following:
  1. Download the printer installler.
  2. Make sure you have access to UvT-Wireless.
Printing your job can be done in the same way as from a student desktop on campus.

Print from home

If you want to send a print job from your home PC or notebook to the printers on campus, you should bear the following two points:
  1. Download the printer installler.
  2. Set up a VPN connenction with the UvT network.
