Theme Parks

There are several theme parks in the vicinity of Tilburg.

The Efteling
The Efteling is situated in Kaatsheuvel, a few kilometres to the north of Tilburg. It is the biggest amusement park in the Netherlands and in 1992, it was voted the world's best theme park. The Efteling is open seven days a week from April until October and for a short period during the winter. The Efteling also has a Golfcourse and themed Hotel

Beekse Bergen
To the south of Tilburg, near Hilvarenbeek, is a safari park where wild animals roam the plains. The Beekse Bergen also offers an artificial skiing village and a play area for watersports and general recreation. The safari park is open all year round, the ski-ing village from November until April, and the play area from May until September.

Special train tickets are available to get to tourist attractions like the 'Keukenhof' (flower garden), the 'Autotron' (old and new automobiles), the 'Euromast' in Rotterdam etc.
