After successful completion of the master, you will be awarded an internationally recognised Master of Science (MSc.) degree.

Career

Experience shows that a completed Research Master programme in Methodology and Statistics offers various career opportunities. Graduates will be able to successfully enter and finish a Ph.D. programme within or outside this university.


Career opportunities:

  • researcher and lecturer in a faculty of social and behavioral sciences, such as Tilburg University's;
  • statistical consultant, researcher and lecturer in faculties of medicine, biology, and economics; and in criminology, marketing and political science;
  • psychometric and statistical researcher in educational testing, for example at CITO Arnhem or Educational Testing Service, Princeton NJ;
  • methodological and statistical consultant, for example, in consumer research at Statistics Netherlands, Voorburg, Heerlen;
  • applied statistician in demographic research, for example, at the Centraal Planbureau;
  • applied statistician in industry (e.g., pharmaceutical companies) or the government.
Due to their knowledge of statistical methods and software, methodologists often work at substantive projects, in psychology, sociology, education, and so on.
