National liturgical and ritual studies research programme
The Institute for Liturgical and Ritual Studies coordinates the National Research Programme taking the following points of departure:
- The Institute offers a research programme that does not compete with other research programmes; this programme serves to reinforce the identity and profile of the study of liturgy as it is conducted in the Netherlands.
- The broad and open character of the field is guaranteed and enhanced by also including projects that are part of other programmes, etcetera.
- The programme aims for cooperation and mutual harmonisation with other research organisations and institutions, such as the
Netherlands School for for Advanced Studies in Theology and Religion
NOSTER.
- The programme also aims at exchanges with colleagues home and abroad. This has inspired the cooperation with the Institute for Christan Cultural Heritage
in Groningen, the
Meertens Institute
in Amsterdam, the
Liturgical Institute
in Leuven, and with organisations such as the
Societas Liturgica
and the
AKL
(Arbeitsgemeinschaft katholischer Liturgikdozentinnen und -dozenten im deutschen Sprachgebiet).
The national research programme
The fourth national Liturgical and ritual studies research programme is entitled Liturgical and Ritual Movements IV: Reframing liturgical and ritual identities. This programme is composed and coordinated by prof.dr Paul Post; for more information, an introduction to the programme and a link to the programme in pdf-format click here.
