Lecturers

Eric Corijn studied biology, philosophy and science dynamics at the universities of Ghent and Brussels (Belgium) and futures research at the University of Utrecht (The Netherlands). For the past seven years he has acted as Director of the Programme in European Leisure studies and is currently teaching Leisure Sciences at the universities of Tilburg (NL) and Brussels (B). He also teaches on the Council of Europe's Masters programme in Cultural Management. His research and publications are directed to the field of leisure studies, urban cultural policies, European unification processes and citizenship.

Hans Mommaas is Professor of Leisure Studies and Director of Telos: Brabant Institute for Sustainable Development at Tilburg University (Nl.). He studied sociology at Wageningen University and received his PhD at Tilburg University in 1993 on a study titled "Modernity, Free Time and the City". He has (co)published and (co)edited articles and books on issues of globalization and culture; European cultural policies; culture, consumption and the city; leisure and cultural participation. Besides he involves himself with research and consultation on local/regional leisure and cultural policies, and on leisure, culture and spatial transformations.

Panu Lehtovuori is an architect in design work in Livady Architects where he has worked since 1993 and an assistant of UIAH MA-program on enviromental design. His work has featured in a number of architectural competitions including the International competition for Töölönlahti parks in Helsinki 1997. He is currently researching into 'public space' and his most recent articles include; 'Sumea kaupunki' (Fuzzy City) in ARK in 1996; 'Managing Urban Change', 1996, and 'The Creative City', 1998.
