About People Management Centre

The People Management Centre (PMC) is the Human Resource Studies institute for partnerships between industry and academia. The PMC is devoted to HR professionalisation in organisations.

The PMC builds bridges between leading organisations and the Human Resource Studies Department of the Tilburg University, the School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, and leading faculty and students.

The People Management Centre shares information on the latest global developments in HRM through the PMC working papers series, the PMC white papers series, the Top 10 of recent articles published in international journals, and the PMC Newsletter.

PMC provides sponsors with a platform for participation in university classes and executive education, special small group meetings on cutting edge HR themes, invited lectures by leading HR academics, interactive sessions with other companies and faculty, applied research linked to the Master Thesis and Bachelor Thesis projects of students, access to undergraduate students for talent recruitment, and special student assignments, for example, data analysis in HR metrics.

PMC has a strong global network with leading HR academics. There is a strategic alliance in the USA with the Department of HR Studies of Cornell University (Patrick Wright) and in the UK with the Department of Management of King's College London (Riccardo Peccei and David Guest). Professor Patrick Wright and Professor Riccardo Peccei will be appointed on the Rotating Chair positions at Tilburg University and PMC. In the near future we will establish links with HR expertise centres in China/Asia.
