Eerste Roundtable sessie van People Management Centre geslaagd verlopen.
Afgelopen maandag (19 mei) mocht het departement Human Resource Studies een dertigtal deelnemers verwelkomen voor de eerste roundtable sessie van het People Management Centre. Het thema van deze bijeenkomst was “HRM en Performance management” en concentreerde zich vooral op het thema Engagement. De bedoeling van deze sessie – en van het People Management Centre – is de interactie tussen wetenschap en praktijk te versterken. Ditmaal werden korte presentaties vanuit de wetenschap verzorgd door prof. dr. Jaap Paauwe en dr. Elaine Farndale, met daarna een presentatie vanuit ING door Hugo Peters (General Manager HR Nederland) en Rob de Winter (Programmamanager Route naar Succes) waarbij zij aangaven wat hun ervaringen waren met het in de praktijk vergroten van Engagement onder de werknemers; in het kader van het gestalte geven aan een Winning Performance Culture. Mede door de openhartige opstelling van de ING vertegenwoordigers ontstond er een levendige discussie en uitwisseling onder wetenschappers, Aio’s, studenten en vertegenwoordigers vanuit het bedrijfsleven, waaronder KPN, Shell, ING, ASML, Maersk Shipping, LTP, en Philips.

The People Management Centre will host its first roundtable on Monday 19th May 2008. A selection of HR directors and seniors of leading Dutch companies will attend this roundtable around the theme of HRM and performance management. Participation occurs only on invitation.
Nov 9-10th 2007 | 5th Int. Dutch HRM Network Conference
Following the success of its first four international conferences, the Dutch HRM Network is planning its next conference at Tilburg University on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th November 2007. The title of this conference is “In Search of Balance: managing the dualities of HRM”.
The conference will be organised around a number of sub-themes that reflect important contemporary debates on the paradoxes of HRM. All papers submitted will be subject to a review process, and the conference itself promises a lively debate among international participants. The call for papers will be released soon.
