Education Office
The Education Office is responsible for the coordination of all the education related activities within the Faculty. The office gives information to students and prospective students and takes care of scheduling and the Electronic Study Guide. It also advises the management team, the departments and the programme boards on educational matters.
To be able to perform these tasks, the office is divided into 4 departments, each with its own coordinator. The departments are:
Quality and Innovation
The activities of this department are related to internal and external quality control. An important part of the external control is the guidance of the visitation and accreditation processes. The internal control is carried out via an advanced evaluation system for lecturers, courses and examinations.
Besides that the employees are responsible for the lecturer training for new personnel and presentation training for students.
Mid-term Review
The Mid-term Review site is one of the projects of the Quality and Innovation department of the Education Office. This website offers information about the mid-term review of a large number of Bachelor's and Master's programmes of our School. This site is only accessible to members of the review board.
Scheduling and Examination
This department is responsible for the scheduling of all the programmes, courses, examinations and midterms of the faculty. The other main responsibility is the maintenance of the Electronic Study Guide and the group registration system, Comap.
Academic Advisors
The academic advisors' main task is to guide students with study related questions and problems. Furthermore, they have a supporting and advising role to the Academic Advisors, Education Committees and the Examing Boards. The academic advisors have weekly visiting hours, for which you can make an appointment via the Education Service Desk.
Student Service Desk/Secretariat
Student Service Desk
The Student Service Desk is the front office for the students of the faculty. Students can turn to the desk for information, appointments with academic advisors, picking up/handing in forms etc. Besides that, the desk is responsible for the information in the student newsletter. The desk is opened daily from 10.00 - 12.00 hrs. and 12.30 - 16.30 hrs.
The secretariat takes care of all the supporting activities for the Education Office.
The MAK (Mentoraat economische faculteit) forms also part of the Education Office. They organise all the introduction activities for the first year's students. More information.
