Research in IT Governance focuses on the design of decision-making structures for the control of IT, allowing organizations to develop needed flexibility in sustaining strategic advantage. Knowledge Management and Collaboration

IT applications lead to new opportunities for Learning, Knowledge development, and Knowledge Management. New organizational forms emerge, such as Distributed Team Work, Virtual Teams, Virtual Organizations, and Virtual Communities. This research theme analyzes the effects of IT applications for Knowledge Management and Learning on business processes and aims to develop effective business designs. Electronic Services and the Management of Business Processes

Service-oriented computing is a paradigm for distributed computing that is changing the way software applications are designed, architected, delivered and consumed in organisations and business networks. Services are autonomous, platform-independent computational elements that can be described, published, discovered, orchestrated, and programmed using standard 'business protocols' for the purpose of building networks of collaborating applications distributed within and across organizational boundaries. Methods and Modeling

The research theme Methods and Modeling has the goal to provide novel methods for business (process) modeling, ontology management, information modeling and integration. It covers the aspects of syntax (of models and methods), semantics (i.e. the formal meaning), and pragmatics (i.e. how to use the method in the real words context). More information and publications
