Piet Duffhues studied business administration at Tilburg University with a specialization on finance. He became a scientific staff member in the Department of Business Adminstration immediately after his graduation in 1967. Since then he performed many educational and research activities as well as management functions in the Department. In 1985 he was appointed an Associate Professor of Finance, and in 1986 a Core Teacher in Tias Business School. In 1996 he became a Director of Studies in The School of Financial Economics in Tias. In 1999 Full Professor of Finance at Tilburg University. In 2000 PhD, title "Corporate Finance: Orientation on Integration" (Promotor: Professor Dr. P.W. Moerland). Inaugural speech November 2000 on Management Options. Research concentrates on Risk Management, Capital Structure, Stock Options, Finance and Financial Accounting, Corporate Governance, Compensation of Executives. |
