Social contacts are very important, especially for exchange students who arrive in a new country with a different culture. Therefore, Tilburg University has set up a student union whose main purpose is to improve social contacts between exchange students. This union is called ERASMUS Student Network ESN. ESN takes care of the social programme, organises many activities for international students, and helps exchange students integrate into Tilburg student life.
ICONN
(International Connection)
This is Tilburg University's only student union targeting internationally-oriented, Bachelor's/Master's students from all faculties. No matter which background one comes from, how old one is, or which study one is enrolled in, at the end of the day what we all have in common is that we are all students looking to make friends, pass our courses and that we are all constituents of the international community. Under the term international, we acknowledge both foreign and Dutch students who are endowed with a tolerant mindset and a global spirit; those that wish to learn about other cultures and are eager to share their own. As international students ourselves we would like to create an interactive network of people for social, academic, facilitative and prospective purposes. This network is not merely limited to student interaction amongst themselves, but extends to include other study associations and various organizations in and around Tilburg. Our association looks to fuse all distinct efforts made by individual internationally driven students at Tilburg University and create a collective outlet.
Pirî-network

SIFE
SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) is a global non-profit organization active in 4o countries that mobilizes university students to create economic opportunity for others while discovering their own potential. Working in partnership with business and higher education, SIFE mobilizes students around the world to use knowledge learned in the classroom to address real world issues in their communities. SIFE students form teams on their university and develop outreach projects that teach market economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, environmental sustainability, personal success skills, business ethics and sustainability. Thereby, these students make a difference and create a better world while realizing the full potential they have as the entrepreneurs and business leaders of tomorrow. Each year, students present their projects at competitions which are held in every SIFE country; the winners go on to a global competition: the SIFE World Cup.
